Pearl Themed Wedding

In August, we had the opportunity to be the Day Coordinator for a Pearl Themed Wedding. This couple planned their entire wedding and asked for a few ways to continue to tie in their theme throughout their big day. Using both design elements we recommended and wedding accessories they purchased the pearl theme was seen throughout the entire wedding day.

Her bouquet had accents of faux pearls and diamonds.

The Guest Book and Pen was from the Lenox Jubilee Pearl Collection.

The pearl theme was also incorporated in their centerpiece.

My favorite theme element was the cake. The cake had "pearl" accents from top to bottom. It was both beautiful and delicious! The couple had a cheesecake wedding cake. They LOVE Cheesecake!

Here are more pearl elements they used:

Jubilee Pearl Dessert Set

Jubilee Pearl Flute Pair

There are so many ways you can incorporate a theme into your wedding without it looking cheesy. In this wedding it was done with such subtlety and elegance.

Welcome Baby Isaiah

We wanted to introduce you to the new addition to the Charles Family.

Isaiah at 1 Month
Isaiah D. Charles, born 9/30/10, the day after my 3rd wedding anniversary.
He weighed 7 lbs, 5 ounces, 19.5 inches.

Throughout the entire pregnancy my clients were so supportive. I received so many tips and advice from them on pregnancy and motherhood. I still couldn't believe how much energy I had in my last trimester for the summer weddings and events. I even had one client say "He was going to be born planning events," lol.

Isaiah is truly a blessing and I wouldn't trade motherhood for the world!

"8 Steps to a New You" Book Launch Social

In April we had the opportunity to provide partial coordination for the Book Launch Social of Mellisa Brathwaite's, "8 Steps to a New You." This event was held at Mandeville, a Caribbean Cuisine Restaurant in Orange, NJ. The Author had a great turn out of family and friends.

Attendees had the opportunity to purchase hardcover or softcover copies of the book. They were sold out before the end of the night.

The "8 Steps" were used as both a centerpiece and giveaway.
Know Your End Result...Step 8

Know Your Challenges...Step 5
Know Yourself...Step 1

Know Your Purpose...Step 7

This workbook was the result of a workshop she did in the community. She had two students from the workshop give their testimony of how her workshop changed their life. VERY INSPIRATIONAL!

Venue Spotlight: Turner Chapel AME Church

When we saw their ceremony decor we just had to share it with you. We had the privilege of being guests at this wedding. This wedding took place in Marietta,Georgia at Turner Chapel AME Church.

The church's chapel chairs featured ivory universal satin chair covers. The aisle featured tall votive holders and the altar two floral arrangements. It was such a simple and romantic setting in the chapel. We loved it!
